Mean Performance of F3 Genotypes for Yield and Yield Attributing Characters in Chilli (Capsicum annuum L.)

In the current experiment, 256 test treatments and four control (checks) were assessed in an augmented block design for studying yield yield-attributing traits. F3 population of chilli was components during kharif year 2018-19. The analysis variance showed a significant mean sum squares all characters different sources variation. number genotypes that exceeded best check 47 (plant height), 45 (number primary branches), 42 (days to 50% flowering), 37 fruits per plant), 34 (fruit length), 36 width), 39 weight), 33 shape index), 48 (pedicel (yield (dry plant) 32 recovery %). Plant 91 genotype among traits except fruit width pedicel length. Among checks, B-HP-143 observed be plant height, days flowering, plant, dry %, whereas B-HP-144was found superior over checks rest
